Robyn Hamilton
Robyn is the choir director for the Carradine Choir. Robyn grew up in a theatrical home where music flourished. This developed her love of music into adult-hood where she continued to perform in stage-shows and choirs, at one time even singing solo with the TSO. A course in group music teaching and some subsequent training in Music Therapy made it possible forher to run group-music for the Disabled, the Elderly, Hospital Patients, Toddlers and Pre-schooler groups. She even managed to share her knowledge in Thailand, where for 6 months, she took music classes to institutionalised, disabled, abandoned children and adults and subsequently has returned there for short stints to train up the staff. Robyn also has taught in a Primary school to all age groups and begun a successful school choir. Throughout her life, Robyn has performed in various Choirs, including the WASO Chorus and the Tasmanian Undergraduates Choir before Joining the Carradine Choir over 20 years ago. Robyn eventually took over the Musical Directorship in 2011 and it gives her much pleasure to this day.
